• Part of a team who advised the Government of the Republic of Namibia on the negotiation and implementation of its first green hydrogen bid. The project included negotiations with the successful bidder for the conducting of a feasibility study in relation to the feasibility of implementing the project, including the engineering, procurement and construction of a renewable energy (a combination of solar and wind) plant, a desalination plant, electrolysis plant, green ammonia storage plant, port expansion and supporting infrastructure, including various common user infrastructure;
• Part of a team who advised the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport) on the concessioning off, of the new container terminal at the port of Walvis Bay to a third-party operator. This included drafting of the Concession Agreement, negotiations with the preferred bidder and matters incidental thereto;
• Advised a large commercial bank in Namibia and its South African counterpart on the financing of a Namibian mining company in respect of the acquisition of equipment to the value of N$ 500 000 000.00 via a term loan facility, including reviewing and advising on the various financing documents and security structure;
• Advised a Namibian investment firm on an appropriate security structure to be adopted for the financing of a Namibian micro lending business, including drafting and negotiating on the loan agreements and security documents;
• Part of a team who advised a pan-African finance institution on providing a loan facility to a Namibian property development company and drafted related agreements (including facility and security documents).
